Free OV showtimes widget for your website
Show your readers, students or guests which films are playing in original version this week. The widget lists the next OV, OmU and OmeU screenings for a city, a cinema or a spoken language, links each one to the cinema’s booking page and updates itself every hour.
Made for cinemas, expat blogs and newsletters, language schools, university international offices and community sites.
What you get
- The next 3 to 20 screenings with time, film, format (OV, OmU, OmeU), spoken language, subtitles and cinema.
- A “Tickets” link to the cinema’s own booking page for each screening.
- Hourly updates from the same programme data as ovkinos.de, in English or German, light or dark.
- No cookies, no tracking, no ads and no third-party requests. The widget is a few kilobytes of HTML.
Questions
Is it free?
Yes. There is no sign-up and no key.
Does it need a cookie banner?
The widget sets no cookies and loads no analytics. Booking links pass through ovkinos.de, which counts clicks in aggregate without identifiers. Check your own privacy notice for embedded content. Privacy policy
Do I have to keep the link to OV Kinos?
The small credit inside the widget always stays. The line below the widget is a courtesy we appreciate, but you can restyle it, mark it nofollow or remove it.
How do I add it to my site?
Paste the code into an HTML block in your site editor. If the editor removes scripts, choose the plain iframe option and adjust its height to fit. If your site uses a Content Security Policy, allow https://ovkinos.de in frame-src and, for the automatic-height option, script-src. Booking and film links open in a new tab.
Can I show statistics instead?
Yes. The data report has its own embed code with the headline figure and the language chart for Germany or each city. Where Germany watches films in original version
