OV stands for Originalversion. The film plays in its original language without dubbing, normally without subtitles. OV does not mean English: the spoken language depends on the film. Check the cinema’s description of the selected screening.
OmU stands for Original mit Untertiteln: original audio with subtitles. In German cinema programmes, these are usually German subtitles. A cinema or festival may specify a different subtitle language, so the individual screening’s description takes precedence.
OmeU stands for Original mit englischen Untertiteln: original audio with English subtitles. The spoken language may be French, German, Japanese or another language. English subtitles do not establish that the audio is English.
Programme refreshes are scheduled hourly. Successful updates and coverage vary by cinema and date. Check the source-update time and coverage notice on the programme page, and confirm the selected screening on the cinema’s booking site.
OV Kinos brings together listings from tracked cinema programmes in twelve German cities, including Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Cologne and Frankfurt. A cinema being listed does not guarantee that every screening is available here. Check the current programme and the cinema’s own website.
Showtime data is sourced directly from cinema websites. Please verify on the cinema's official site before visiting.
We collect published programmes from cinema websites and booking providers, including Yorck, Kinoheld, UCI, CineStar, Kinopolis and Premiumkino. Coverage varies by city and provider. Booking links open the cinema or its ticketing partner; tickets are purchased there. Always check the date, venue, language and availability before buying.
Refreshes are scheduled hourly, but a source may fail or publish only some dates. A programme can retain an earlier successful update; its source-update time is not the time you opened the page. A missing screening does not establish that it is sold out or cancelled. Programme statistics describe the listings we have, not every screening in a city.
Posters, original titles, descriptions and other film details are supplied by TMDB. Matching a cinema title to a film can be uncertain. The cinema’s description of the selected screening takes precedence. OV means original audio, which may be any language; audio and subtitle languages are separate choices. Send a correction with the film, cinema, date and a link to the cinema’s listing. This helps us trace the source and distinguish a programme change from a matching error.
